The Ministry of Education has introduced the APAAR ID card, a digital identification card for students attending private and government institutions or universities throughout India. This card enables students to access their academic credits, degrees, and other information online.

The card serves as a permanent identification number that monitors students’ academic progress, accomplishments, and simplifies the transfer process between institutions. Schools and institutions will distribute this card to all students from pre-primary to higher education levels. The APAAR card will be issued in addition to the students’ existing Aadhaar ID.

How to Fill Out the APAAR ID Consent Form?

Follow these steps to complete the APAAR ID consent form:

  1. Visit the APAAR website.
  2. Scroll down and click on ‘Resources’.
  3. Click the download icon next to ‘APAAR Parental Consent Form (English)’.
  4. Enter the required information on the form.
  5. Submit the filled form to the school.

How to Register for an APAAR ID Card Online?

To register for an APAAR ID, students need a valid Aadhaar card and must create an account on DigiLocker for e-KYC. Schools and colleges should initiate the registration process for APAAR ID cards for their students only after receiving parental consent.

Here are the steps to follow in order to register for an APAAR ID card:

Step 1: Go to the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC Bank) website.

Step 2: Click on My Account and then Student.

Step 3: Sign up for a DigiLocker account by entering your cellphone number, address, and Aadhaar card details.

Step 4: Log in to your DigiLocker account using your credentials.

Step 5: DigiLocker will request your permission to share your Aadhaar card information with ABC for KYC verification. Select “I agree”.

Step 6: Provide academic details like school/university name, class/course, etc.

Step 7: After submitting the form, your APAAR ID card will be generated.

How to Download APAAR ID Card?

Follow these steps to download your APAAR ID Card:

Step 1: Log in to the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC Bank) website.

Step 2: Find and click on the APAAR card download option on the dashboard.

Step 3: Your APAAR card will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Choose the download or print option.

Step 5: Your APAAR card will be downloaded.
