80Wash under the company Hway Technologies Private Limited, based in Chandigarh, aims to address two problems: excessive water usage of automatic and traditional washing machines, and the use of chemicals in detergents.

How Does 80 Wash Work?
The machine operates on ISP steam technology, which utilizes microwaves and low radio frequency to kill bacteria. It can also clean metal components and PPE kits with minimal water and a few minutes of cleaning time.
The machine comes in two capacities. According to the startup, no detergent is required for its operation. If there are stubborn stains, the machine will increase the number of wash cycles. The 7-8KG model can clean 50 clothes and requires only 5 to 6 glasses of water.
Currently, the machine is in a pilot project phase. 80Wash has installed it at seven locations, including hotels and hospitals in Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali.
